About Me

I am a PhD student at the University of British Columbia iSchool. I design and evaluate ViDeX—an interactive video player that supports annotating and note taking—as a member of the Human Communication Technologies Research Laboratory. I am advised by Luanne Freund and Rick Kopak.

My research is at the intersection of human-computer interaction and information retrieval. I investigate how people find, manage, and use heterogeneous types of information (e.g., collections of audio, images, text, and video). I use mixed methods to explore the tensions and breakdowns in human information interaction, and then provide implications for the design of practices and tools to address these needs.

For more information about my work, please see my Google Scholar profile.
